for example(Im not that old, just using it as an example) color tv was a thing of luxury but soon everyone had/have color tvs it’s no more omg so and so got a color tv. so it wont be a big deals for looks. you think?

Why does the left have such a problem with the result of tax cuts resulting in all time high collection of taxes in the late 1980s? Meaning, the laffer curve theory was correct: that charging less in taxes raises intensive to be productive and the end result was more money was paid in taxes than would have been if taxes were raised.
They say it doesn’t work time and time again, but the numbers just don’t lie.
My question was about why the left can’t acknowledge the success of tax cut in the 1980s. There you all go running to Bush and forgetting to mention his grotesque over spending. Well, all I can say is It was a hell of a lot easier to get a job in the Bush years than the Obama years.

According to Republicans, if we make the rich even more rich, by not allowing them to pay any taxes, they will create tons of jobs and everyone will get more work, increasing tax revenue and so on and so on.

Since the Nixon administration, we have had a Republican conservative ideology of consistently reducing taxes on the rich. The top tax bracket has gone down ever since.

Based on Republican logic, we should have a vibrant super economy where tons of jobs are created because the rich pay less and less.

So why is the poverty rate so high? Taxes on the rich are near historic lows! Why is there mass poverty? Where are the jobs that Republicans consistently promise each time they reduce taxes for the rich?
