it’s one or the other
I would go for the High School Diploma. You can start college any time and if you have your HSD you can start college with people your age.
GED= general equivalent test certifies the taker has attained high school level academic skills. While a diploma is obtained from finishing high school.
yes i was in a situation like that in a learning academy in TX….why would you want to?
Yes, some non-accredited high schools don’t offer real diplomas (because the government wont let them) so they get all their kids to take a GED. Those people are robbing you and the community of $ and are called crooks.
Not a proper diploma. Why would you want to do that? If you have your high school diploma, you can start college early.
you have to be 16 to get your GED, depending on the state….and if you get it and get into college, what’s the point of staying in high school?
Usually, you need to be 18yo to take the GED and most people have graduated from high school by then (most, not all). You really only need one or the other, not both. HS diploma is certainly preferable, as the GED still has the stigma of a HS drop-out.
Check to see if your local community college (or university) has dual-enrollment. This allows HS students to take college classes and earn both HS AND college credits at the same time.
It is possible to do that, but why would u want to? It would be a waste of time doing both. My suggestion is one or the other. High school diplomas are more valuable no matter what anyone tells/has told you.
A high school diploma is OVER-RATED .You’ll do just fine with a GED.I dropped out of high school when i was 16 and recieved my GED 1 month later. After that I enrolled at a Junior college and graduated with an A.S. degree in mathematics by the time i was 18,which is the time i should of finished high school.By the time my friends graduated high school,I already had a college degree.Upon completion of my A.S. and a GPA of 3.8, I transferred to The University of Southern California (USC) and by the time i was 20 yrs old graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science(B.S.) in Aerospace Engineering.I went on to grad school after that and graduated with a masters in PHYSICS by the time I was 22. I am now 23 and I work for BOEING As a Head engineer and I’m planning on becoming a proffesor at usc next year and teach physics.I am very proud of my success and all of this started with a simple GED.
