(Hypothetically) Let’s say I were graduate this August, in high school. How long can I wait until I go to college? Like can I wait a year, THEN start college, with my credits and test scores and all that still being valid?
What if it’s a university?
And what about scholarships?
What if I were to wait atleast a year?
Can someone tell me the difference?
1. Graduating all my years of college at a popular university like UC Berkeley or UCLA
2. Transferring from a community college after 2 years to a university and earning my degree there?
I have a friend who claims UCs are a waste of time and it’s a better route to take a community college course then transferring and it won’t make any difference in my career. Is this true? If it is, what’s the point of working so hard in high school?
My son starts high school next year I’d like him to make the best of the time if it’s possible and also get a college degee during the same four years.
I don’t see it anymore but in the seventies I remember some females friends going to college while in high school, they would get there masters after completing high school.
If this is possible how could I get him started?
I agree sam I wouldn’t expect him to be a full time student but a few courses a week would get him used to it and help get some of the prerequisites out of the way.
Hi TG the reason I’d like him to go ahead and enroll in college is because through middle school he has already completed algebra and foreign languages. I’ve been trying to teach him some calculus because that and biology are all thats left for him to take in high school. He is way out in front of his classmates.
Are far as his social status he doesn’t have anything to do with poeple his own age. I think alot of this comes from the fact that me and his mom were high achievers in school. She was an honor student and valedictorian I spend most of my high school time in gifted classes. He has has an unique upbringing. His intelligence comes natural to him.
How is the the college application process different for people who took time off after high school?
I took two years off after high school and was wondering how the college application process is going to be different than when i was applying as a senior.
I was just wondering what is the average number of AP classes taken per year in high school (during junior and senior year)? And what is the average taken total by the time they graduate? Please have serious answers
I’m taking online High School courses so can I go to University at the same time? Or would I have to withdraw from my online courses? I’m only taking one online course and I’m nearly finished. I start University in early September (I’ve been accepted). AND I’m a legal adult in my region.
Being in high school, I’m well aware that the years are passing way too quickly. Is college like this too? How do the experiences compare?
I am wondering if High school should be party time, and then college you should focus on school, or should you focus on getting into college first then party at college?
My son has dual-enrollment in high school and college. Upon graduation in June, he will have both his high school diploma along with his Associates degree. How should his announcement be worded?
Thank you in advance for your help!
