Which over time is better, a small business or a high paid job with benefits?

I am in a dimema. I would like to know if it is better over a period of time if a small business that you won and have control over has more benifits that a job with benifits? I would like to know so I ca focus my energies in a proper manner.

I am a high school graduate who wants to start a business that’ll give me much free time. How do I do this?
