I painted my hall with satin paint and the hall is so high that by the time I was finished you could see all?

all time high
spolliebean asked:

the roller marks. Can I use a sponge and a lighter color and dab it to help it look better? Or, do you have any better suggestions? Thanks

Let it dry first! The roller marks should disappear. If they are still there after it dries, apply a second coat and make sure that you overlap after you roll on by about 2 inches.

Second coat of paint, same color?

There is a paint additive called “Floetrol” (I think I spelled it correctly) – it helps extend the drying time for paint so that it doesn’t dry too quickly and cause you to leave roller marks. It is kind of expensive (I want to say around $15 for 16 oz.), but it works like a charm and is widely available at the home improvement shops (Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.). Add some to your original paint and put one more coat on.

    Hope this helps.

First of all you probably don’t have enough lighting in your hallway. Get more lights. When you apply the 2nd coat of paint, even if it’s more trouble, do a section at a time. (not the top and then the bottom.) This way when it dries, it dries evenly from the floor to ceiling.
