Yes, these are symptoms of many illnesses, including the flu and food poisoning and others. You should get your boyfriend to the doctor.

Yeah it’s probably the stomach flu. The dizziness is from the fever and the dehydration from vomiting. Stay away though, stomach bugs are contagious.

No it may be just a phase. A lot of time people get under stress and get themselves sick. Just comfort him. Its the best remedy.

There is this person called a doctor and they have this amazing ability to tell your boyfriend what he has and then he can actually prescribe him this stuff called medicine which will make him feel better. Why in the world are you asking Yahoo! Answers?

That could truly be any number of illnesses. Anytime a person experiences extended periods of vomiting, fever, or dizziness- they should seek help. ESPECIALLY if they’re suffering from all three symptoms. He should immediately stop eating and drinking (even water) and seek help. Food & liquids may induce more vomiting.

Sounds like the flu or stomach bug. A fever almost always means it’s a virus, so you just have to wait it out. The dizyness could be due to the stomach issues, dehydration, or low blood pressure (common when sick). Just give him plenty of fluids (like juice, decaffeinated tea and water, no coffee or soda as these make you more dehydrated). Also maybe try some bland foods and soup since they irritate the stomach less.

    The stomach flu??

  18. leaperpup - April 22nd, 2009 at 1:10 am

Yes, it could be a virus. The danger is too much fluid loss or falling from the dizziness. If the fever gets too high it can cause brain damage or death. Treat it like a flu — plenty of fluids, take temperature making sure it doesn’t go much above 102, stay in bed and stay warm. If he doesn’t start feeling better in a few days he needs to visit a doctor.
