Isn’t it high time we ban all third parties from participating in Presidential Elections going forward?

all time high
His Divine Shadow asked:

Since they don’t have a valuable contribution to make other than stealing votes from the Republican and Democrat candidates? You know, the ones who actually have a chance?

    I hope you are kidding…

If more Americans paid attention to the third party candidates, they may find someone that they really feel good about. Many third party candidates don’t have the money to support a big campaign. It’s high time we had a few large parties in the running instead of 2 corrupt ones.

The problem is, many Americans don’t know anything about the candidate they claim to support, they listed to gossip instead of really paying attention to the facts.

Banning other parties would be unconstitutional.

It’s ironic that V calls you a Nazi, because it was ***** during the Weimar Democracy who benefited from the splintering of political will that multiple political parties (30 or more) caused in their elections. As a result of this history of a failed democracy, Germany now has a 10% rule to disqualify tiny parties that might destabilize their democracy. They also have a strong Green Party as a result of this rule.

The US has an honorable history of third party politics. Teddy Roosevelt at one time ran on a third party ticket. Third parties can force reforms that neither major party is willing to accept.

We haven’t reached the point when thid parties threaten our democracy.
