marniemcc asked:
any girls wear high heels nearly all the time? I do, i can’t help it- i’m addicted to wearing and buying them. Anyone relate to this? What are the potential consequences of this? I read in the papers that some women need surgery to correct problems caused by wearing high heels. I’ve worn them every day since i was 10 and i don”t have any problems. I feel i need to wear heels cos i’m quite short (5’1) and particularly when i’m with guys i **** being so much shorter.

i do..im five feet tall and at 22 im not expecting to grow anymore
i do have feet and leg problems from it…i have damaged the tendons and nerves in my feet, heel and calfs. its to the point where if i wear flip flops or walk barefoot it hurt…i am most likely goin to need surgery when i get older but for now i wear my heels while i still can…consequences be damned!! lol
I wear high heels practically everyday. I’m 5’9 and I love them! I’ve been wearing high heels for years and I have never had any problems with my feet. I’ve been told though, that some heels, especially the pointy toe ones, can cause problems (but I don’t wear those).
Just make sure your feet are comfy in the shoes. If they arent, they could shift and cause problems.
This can cause problems with your tendons. My sister used to wear high heels 24/7. and she ued to cry cause it hur to walk in flat shoes.
The tendons shorten if you wear nothing but heels. This causes them not to stretch as much. And they are more at risk of snapping. So my advice to you is to wear falt shoes half the time and heels the rest.
they say dynamite comes in small packages, don’t worry if you are too short, not all of us are that tall.
all i can say is, be proud of it, just don’t wear too much heals because when you are much older you will pay the consequences.
I have seen some of the poor women that had very bad feet from that and it was awful. However all of them were tall and very robust if you get my drift. I don’t think that will happen to you because you are small and you started wearing them as a youngster. Your whole body has already adapted to them and you probably feel awkward and off kilter without them. Besides I think they are beautiful on women. So keep wearing them. They really compliment your look.
When I ws younger I used to wear them, but now I rarely wear heals, only when going out somewhere very posh. I much prefer flat shoes myself.
heels……not 4 me my cuzzin loves them but they r just not my thang 2 wear ‘em all da time……i hardly wear them. only mostly 2 special occasions but when i wear ‘em i have 2 take me an extra pear of flip-flops but other than that i dont wear heels that much
it can cause problems i have read. But i **** heels, can never walk right!!!!!
I am a guy and i love to wear high heels especially high heel sandals. I love showing off my pedicured toenails when wearing them. I have not had any problems when wearing heels.
Hiya *****.
I wear heels all the time I adore high heel shoes, Im 20and touch wood I haven’t experienced any problems yet. The best way to prevent many problems and still have gorgeous heels is to make sure you get a variety to change, get wide toed ones aswell as pointy toes for comfort, wearing pointy toes can soon start giving you pains in your toes and blisters. Also try different hights of heels too.
Hope this has helped hun now go strut your stuff!
I wear heels all the time at work because they look smarter and I don’t have any trouble with my feet. But at home I’m normally kicking around in a pair of Birkenstocks so my feet get a break anyway.
I don’t know if this is the actual consequence to wearing heels but when I would go out in heels all night, the next day was horrible, and I could barely walk. My doc diagnosed me w/ Plantar Fasciitis. It is the common cause of heel spurs (ouch). A diagnosis of plantar fasciitis means you have inflamed the tough, fibrous band of tissue (fascia) connecting your heel bone to the base of your toes. I have found this problem w/ all shoes. Actually flats hurt my feet more to be honest. One of the girls that answered sounds like this is her prob too. I am doing better now that I have taken up running w/ the right insoles— but sometimes it still hurts. The doc told me to take 800mgs of ibuprofen when needed. And also to ice it if needed. I dont do either. I just noticed that if my foot has to ‘work’ to stay in the shoe then I know it gonna hurt my foot– so i where shoes that are held on by straps or are more stable. But I still where heels
well you shoad try to wear little hight high
i don’t but LOVE girls that do. make sure to wear heels that are at LEAST 4 inches tall
While I am a great lover of high heels myself you can look forward to having feet like Posh Spice or Naomi Campbell (both extremely knobbly and resembling ginger!!) Try to alternate between flats and highs once in a while because the tendon at the back of your legs can get tight from wearing heels all the time. I’ve also heard that if you need surgery to correct bunions that it will be very uncomfortable if not impossible to wear high heals for any length of time afterwards.
