What is a good time for a high school student to start playing baseball?

I’m a High School freshmen and I want to tryout for baseball. Do you think it’s a good time for me to start playing or should I wait until I’m a junior or senior?

    Start playing right now. By starting earlier the coaches will get a good look at you and get to know you rather than already having a team set up if you tried out as a junior or senior.

    Why not? If you want to play it, then just go play it! Try out, see what happens. Worst that happens is that you don’t make it, and you have to try out again next year.

    Keep in mind, hustle, effort, and good grades are very important factors in the selection process; it’s not all talent. Keep showing up, and even if you’re not the most talented, coach might keep you in mind when report cards come out and some other people fail off the team. You’ll also get to learn along the way.

    Show up, see what happens. If you want to play, then just…play!

    you have a better chance making it senoir and junior year if you start playing now. why wait anyway? if you love the game of baseball your going to want to play twenty four seven, like me and basketball. tryout, what could go wrong? the worst will be you don’t make it, but don’t give up if you don’t make it try harder than everyone else and prevail.

    play u will get to know the varsity coach better and get brownie points with him if ur good enough

    Start as soon as you can, they do have Freshman, and JV teams if your not good enough this year, give it a try baseball’s a fun game.
