You can do partial hilites when yours start to grow out. Just make it by when it is noticeable. The chlorine will do what it does anyway, just get a special chlorine removing shampoo.

whenever your roots are showing or are longer than 1″…….you should never let it go to where your hair looks obvious that its dyed and not natural

Hi as a salon owner and experienced stylist and colourist
you can get your highlights done now with no problems at all
there is a lot of rubbish spoken about highlights and chlorine
none of it is true, there would have to be an immense amount of it in the pool to have any effects on your hair, and it would really sting your eyes and throat first, so go ahead and have them done, just when you use the pool or the sea, make sure your hair is rinsed properly and well conditioned, This is about the six person I have gave this information to and all the answers back was there was no problems, have a great holiday

Bleaching your hair shouldn’t be done that much at all. If the roots are growing out, than let it grow back by far, you can get it redone when you come back from vacation. But if you can’t wait, and you want to look extravagant, than get it “touched up”, you should always go with the color that matches your natural shade, so as not to damage your hair.

Hiya i’m a hairdresser too and there is no problem with you getting them done as the other hairdresser said just make sure you rinse your hair well. A good tip, if there is a shower by the pool rinse your hair every time you get out of the pool it stops the chlorine drying into your hair and stops your hair drying out. Also you can buy spray in sun conditioners that you could use every time you rinse your hair. Have a good hol
