why did the all time high prices of cocoa this July decline in price tremendously?

all time high
[~| SHINKIRO |~] asked:

I heard and read that the diseases (Black Pod Fungal Disease) killed off many of the cocoa plants, which made the supply far understock then the demand. This created the INCREASE of cocoa prices, I believe. So I don’t think that the disease is the cause. Unless you have details to support you assumption

The prices went up then down in a short time. There has been a big drop in demand because of the economic crisis. The prices will continue to drop. Cocoa is not a staple for most people. It is a luxury..
