   That is because they think that nobody can be better than them, they are scared that somebody else is going to steal their position, that is the reason why they don’t let anybody succeed

   Because their egos are way too big for themselves to handle.

   I know exactly what u mean! My boss is just like that! She’s a gossip queen and loves to see others hurt. She doesn’t like anyone to be better than her or have more than her! She’ll lie just to look better than you, or “get to u”! She also copies people,in how they act and what they buy or do. All this, just to look good, or be better than u. Or to “fit in”. This is a 40-something yr old that I’m talking about!!
   My answer to your question, is that these type of people have a very low self-esteem and are insecure about themselves! Therefor, making others feel like dog-doo, is their way of hiding themselves from others and feeling more confident and “on top”. My mom was like this as well. I was adopted, and lived with my adoptive mom for about 15 yrs. So, in dealing with this, I’ve learned a lot!! And..Know how to cope with it. One thing to do, is don’t let them know that they got to u. That will only encourage them to hurt u more, now they know that they can, and how. Kill’em with kindness! Let them know where u stand and how far you’ll go. It’s hard to do, but works! Hope this helps!
